Dwight Howard Could Be Heading To The Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are considering an offer from the Orlando Magic that would send Dwight Howard to L.A. in exchange for Andrew Bynum, a source close to the situation tellsPepperOnSports.com.
The source says the Lakers have informed one player that he might be part of the package deal and that he could be traded at any moment.
The Lakers are “very interested” in acquiring Howard, according to the source.
This is a no brainer for the Magic. Andrew Bynum is by far the best player they can get for Dwight Howard and by sending Dwight to the Lakers it keeps him out of the Eastern Conference. It’s also important to remember that Dwight wanted the Magic to trade for Steve Nash at the trade deadline last year. Now that Nash is on the Lakers it could be enough for Dwight to sign an extension.
Even if Dwight didn’t want to resign with the Lakers they would still hold his rights throughout the season. The only way he can play for the Nets is through a sign and trade and if that’s the case the Lakers could deal him for a Kings ransom. I don’t see anyway the Lakers could lose by trading for Dwight Howard right now.
