Jets Unveil Logos
By: Mike Asti

The second edition of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets officially have are ready to sell tickets and gear up for the season. How do I know that? Well, once you have a logo, what else do you need right? The Jets have unveiled their new logo, including patches that will appear on their jerseys and the emblem that will scream Jets for this generation of fans. It gives off a sense of simplicity that appears to work well. Canada, a jet plane, and a military like feel are all used.
After announcing Winnipeg would keep the Jets as their name, I introduced, what was then reported, the franchises new logo and colors. The colors remain the same, but the logo certainly has evolved in a month. So far the Jets brass has done everything right. That’s all well and good. The question that will decide the fate of the NHL’s second tenure in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada has nothing to do with appearance and flash. How long will it be until the Jets contend? The answer to that question will undoubtedly be the toughest challenge of all.
