Bryce Harper Greets with a Kiss

Bryce Harper has been pegged as the next big thing in baseball and savior of the Nationals along with Strasburg. He had the future superstar stigma surrounding him since middle school. Harper, is baseballs version of Lebron James and Sidney Crosby, a very talented prospect seen as a lock for the Hall of Fame without so much as a cup of coffee in the show. LBJ and Crosby have lived up to their hype and all signs point to Harper doing the same. However, Bryce certainly has some maturing to do first.
This remains comical, for now….:

I love a great player showing confidence, and even at times arrogance, just as much as the next guy. It just won’t fly on the MLB stage. Bryce Harper blew a kiss to the opposing pitcher while prancing around the bases in real time slow motion. It might be funny now, but I highly doubt he will be laughing the first time Carlos Zambrano morphs into the hulk and beats him senseless. In all seriousness (with Z that may actually happen), he will get drilled if he ever does this to any MLB pitcher. That is more of a lock then his probable success. I dare Harper to blow a kiss at Roy Halladay or Tim Lincecum; they will tell him to kiss their Cy Young asses. Oh, and the rat ‘stache has to go!
In Harper’s defense, maybe his kiss was not directed at the pitcher. Maybe he was just simply blowing the Single-A level a goodbye kiss. Bryce Harper’s current minor league stat line looks like this: 14 homers, 43 RBI, 40 runs scored, 69 hits, 12 stolen bags, all at a .342 clip, .436 on base percentage, and a .619 slug.
